Best way to learn D:Light? was created by Durruti
Hi all,

I use to control many light boards, now I´m trying to use D.Light to control all my shows, but the problem is the only way to learn how to use the program is the PDF tutorial which is very confusing to me and that tutorial was made in 2007; many things changed in the program I guess.

My question is, is there any other way to learn the program? Any other updated turorial or any video tutorial?

Thank you and congrats

Hello

Sadly, there is no updated manual - so the best/only way is through asking on the forum. One of the main changes since the original manual is that the original RPN notation for command line control has been supplemented by '@Mode', so :-

You can select either RPN or @Mode as your preferred method

Example RPN : 1 [CHANNEL} 70 [LEVEL] (ie, '@') [ENTER]

Example @Mode: [CHANNEL] 1 @ 70 [ENTER]

But there are manny many other changes. One way to begin to find them is to look at the 'Releases' sub-forum, and note the annotated changes in each release or beta-release. Other than that, just ask - this is a very helpful and friendly forum, and no one will ever put you down just for asking. And Nico (the developer) is the most helpful of all.

It's a really good program once you get to grips with it, so hang in there...

Regards,

Colin

Hi,
user's manual is really old.... sorry about that and I don't really have time to keep it up to date...
as Colin said, bets way is to read/ask on the forum (it's not ideal....)
