Super!

Hello,

I have a 2 question about midi.

1 ) First I am using a BCF2000 controller and like to change the preset page the same moment as changing submaster page.
Because BCF don't send a midi signal change preset i disable the function and use them as normal button.
Now off course i loose the preset page and like to use the midi out sending midi switch back to BCF2000

I can send a midi note to do that but i can only choose either the Midi switch+ or Sub page+.
I like to connect them both to one midi signal.

Is there a way to do that within Dlight ???

2) Is there a way to control midi to refresh (on the keypad)?

Regards Vincent

hello

no. not directly in the software. but you can use a PureData patch to achieve this behavior :

Is there a way to control midi to refresh (on the keypad)?

you could do that using OSC. you could try this PureData patch :

Hi Aroom

Sorry,,,, i see now you reply me instead Nico.

The link you send is not correct, but I did look at Pure data.

I think this is really complicated for me, but you think this is the only way to control this?

So let me guess,,,,,when i send a message lets say Note 101 from my BSF2000, it wil go in to Pure data and Pure data is sending OSC to Dlight?

Do you know if there is a template to start with pure data about this issue , because i don't have a glue where to start.

Thanks

Vincent

hi

The link you send is not correct, but I did look at Pure data.

both links are working fine in my browser. weird. maybe you need to consult the post on the forum and not on the mail you received.

you think this is the only way to control this?

for now: yes. implementing a midi message for both functions is complicated at the time being. Nico could confirm this.

anyway, PureData could seems like complicated, but it's not that much. and really practical. you can get help from them on IRC Freenode room #dataflow. they are really great with beginners, you just have to be patient.

double midi PureData patch : (right click > save as)

getdlight.com/media/kunena/attachments/1384/double%20midi-2.pd

BCF 2000 OSC integration PureData patch : (right click > save as)

getdlight.com/media/kunena/attachments/1384/bcf2000.pd

please if you need some help regarding both patches, post your comment in the regarding thread, you'll get help from Pancho (the author of both patches)

I am working on my OSC layout for iPhone to control Dlight.

I have trouble with the command /circ/# Dlight seem not to listen to this.
I type CH2@Enter to select the channel with a rotary knob (/circ/# from 0-255) i should be able to control the dimmer output from this channel, but with it is not.

Is the /circ/# still working for Dlight 4.2 ?

Hi Vincent.
In modern DLIGHT, syntax is:
/circ/level xxx yyy

Where xxx is the channel number
yyy is the level.

Hi Nico,

Thanks, this works if you know the channel and level.

I like to use the pad typing the channel and control the level with a slider or rotary knob.
See Picture from Touch OSC

Like in your App Dlutz its works like this
