Device Personality Editor: 16-bit fine definitions was created by nomatter
Hallo Nico,
I'm preparing personality for Martin MAC Quantum Profile.
User guide at: User Guide
And I'm in doubt for channel 8-9 (basic) because it has definitions 0-65535 for Gobo indexing angle or rotation speed.
Something like:
0-600 No gobo rotation
601 - 32130 CW Rotation, fast -> slow
...
How do I manage this?
Thanks,
Carlo.

Holà Carlo.
I think the personality file ever exists for Mac quantum.
In doubt, here's the how-to :
you set the offset 8 as Effect
you set the offset 9 as Fine for offset 8
That's the way it works in DL.

After reading the user manual you have to divide levels by 256 and set definitions for offset 8 according to these levels.
And set offset 9 as Fine

Thanks Nico,
that was my thought, too.
There is definition for Quantum Wash and not for Quantum Profile.
I will submit mine when ready.
I had to write them twice because I started with the basic version thinking to insert or move more attributes later. Maybe it's easier removing attributes.
One more question: Attributes are marked as "Snap" or "Fade". Is there a way to tell this to DL? Do you think could be a problem using it in Fade mode instead of Snap?
And: Is there any shortcut to help writing personalities?
I found that if you add a Definition after another Next Value is automatic.
Thanks,
Carlo.
