Arhtnet don't concect windows Xp

Hello,

I am trying to connect a Entec node to Dlight runing windows Xp.
It is recovering the node but if i start the server it shows waiting for 3 seconds but nothing happens.

Any idee??

check the ip adress of your node. you may have to switch the "BroadCast ArtPoll" from 255.255.255.255 to 10.255.255.255 or 2.255.255.255

check you firewall

check that both ip adresse from the node and from the computer are different

that's true but keep in mind that both computer and node address must be on the same IP range.
for example:
computer: 10.0.0.50 (submask 255.0.0.0)
node: 10.0.0.51 (submask 255.0.0.0)

computer: 192.168.1.50 (submask 255.255.255.0)
node: 192.143.200.20 (submask 255.255.255.0)
(this one is not defined by artNet draft that specify 10.x.x.x/2.x.x.x IP range, but it works)

also don't forget to select 'available' at node level before starting the artNet server.
