adventures with RaspberryPi 4 was created by sl1200mk2

STEPS
Follow on-screen instructions until the prompt for input is reached.
Instead of doing, I believe the usual sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y
DO sudo apt update -y
THEN when complete, do reboot followed by the usual sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y
THEN when complete, do reboot followed by the usual sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y

super, le Pi est à jour...

more to come

Hi Daniel,
I'll launch the pi4 and tell you the minimum resolution... but I think it's more or less 800x600.
so I doubt it'll fit with the pi touch screen

@Daniel,
1280x864, otherwise, you won't get the whole window

by the way it works great :)

Not yet... Next week i'll be in Dublin, but when get back home i'll be buying one, 4Gb i think that's what you'll be recomending!

Just 2 questions:

Are you having problems with the heat?
Do use a RTC?(or advive to use one!)

the raspbian fit on 16GB microSD

Are you having problems with the heat?

not when outputting DMX thru wifi (via sACN).
I didn't check with usbDMX.

Do use a RTC?(or advive to use one!)

no... I think the more generic it's the better it's
a runnning chaser over 512 channels (each together fading from 0 to FF) consume 9% of the CPU.
easy for the pi :)

I meant 4GB ram, or is the 1GB ram enough?

no... I think the more generic it's the better it's

The only problem of not using a RTC is you will always have to connect to internet in order to have date/time set correctly!

About the RAM, yeah I realised after more readings what you were talking about.
I've the 4gb one.

About the RTC, in DL point of view you'll need internet connection for licence activating/deactivating and every 3 month.
Apart from that, no need for internet so not really for for an rtc kernel.

My thought is that DL needs to run on a generic raspbian for anybody to use it without pain. If you decide to run it with arch, send me your distribution and I'll compile all libraries for DL to work.

I think it's a nice addition to supported platforms....
