@Colin,
can you try something risky
on the libusbx list, they would like to know if the latest libusbK driver is working well, so can you try to install it via zadig.exe and try to open the ultraDMX (with the latest DL beta code).
thanx in advance

Hi Nico,
Well, waddya know...(another Bingo!...)
Yes, the libusbK driver 3.0.5.16 that comes with Zadig once installed for the DMX Micro,connects and disconnects ok with DLight 3.0.15_b8. No lighting to actually test on at the moment, but the DMXMicro's little LED flickers away at the 'Connected' rate just fine...
*And* - if I reinstall the WinUSB driver after trying out the libusbK driver it connects again too!!
Double bingo!!
:woohoo:

@Colin,
thanks for the tests.
so I think that you should remove the libusbK driver in order to use the WINUSB one.

thanks for the tests.
from what I understand of the answer on the libusbx lists, DL will use lisbusbK driver if it's present. if it's not it'll use WINUSB.*And* - if I reinstall the WinUSB driver after trying out the libusbK driver it connects again too!!

Hi Nico,
What I meant was, that if I rerun zadig after using llibusbk, and re-install WinUSB, then DLight also connects with that - whether it is through libusbK.dll or libusb-1.0.dll I don't know, but in both cases, it just works now -without having to remove anything.
Regards,
Colin

I've asked the list what's the difference between both.... will see.
at least, it's a good news that we can use both drivers and maybe the difference is that I can distribute libusbK.dll and avoid the zadig steps...
